The young lady below (11 years old) shot her dad's 12 gage shotgun several weeks ago at my house and really enjoyed it. We made plans for her to shoot one of my precision rifles. On Friday 12/27/2019 we went to the range. We started by shooting a Ruger 10/22 to get use to looking through a scope and practicing trigger control. She shot my 6mm Creedmoor several times to get use to the trigger on it then shot the 3 shot one hole group below at 100 yards. Point of impact is correct due to 200 yard zero. Had it been zeroed at 100 yards all would have been in the bullseye. I think she is hooked for life.
"Good results. Only moose in Camp. About 100 yards. Weight 750#. Need to talk to you in the future about a lighter gun with excellent vision at 300 yards."
I replace the remington factory trigger with a Timney Calvin Elite set to 3 lbs. and replaced the remington factory stock with a pillar bedded stock that free floated the barrel. We practiced out to 300 yards working on trigger control and breathing.
